Eesti Rändnäitus Bostoni Südalinnas

Paljud eestlased, lätlased, ja mõned ameeriklased tulid 27. oktoobril kokku Rose Kennedy Greenwayi peal Bostonis, et ametlikult avada „Masters of Our Own Homes: Estonia at 100“ rändnäitus. See on näitus, mis reisib üle Ameerika ja tutvustab Eesti inimesi, kultuuri ja ajalugu. Näitus on avatud Bostoni rahva jaoks kuni 27. novembrini, 2018. Vaatamata sellele, et vihma sadas, tuul tormas ja külm näpistas, tuli umbes 25 inimest vaatama seda vahvat näitus. Kahjuks kõned jäid väga lühikeseks, sest ilm oli väga tormine Bostoni kesklinnas. Mõned inimesed ei jõudnud näituse avamisele aga palju teised jõudsid koosviibisele. Koosviibimine toimus Fin Point Oyster Bar & Grill pubis Bostonis. Bostoni Eesti Seltsi poolt olid suupisted - köögiviljad, lihad ja juustud. Me istusime baaris ja rääkisime juttu elust, näitusest ja kõigest muust. Paar tundi hiljem vihm peaaegu lõppes ja hakkas pimedaks minema. Koju minnes me vaatasime näitust ja tegime mõned pildid, aga me ei saanud lugeda kõike kirjutatut läbi sest nii tuuline oli. Tulede valgel oli näitust paremini näha, tänu millele saime lugeda paljusid lugusid ja vaadata paljusid pilte. Me loodame, et paljud ameeriklased tulevad Bostonisse ja vaatavad seda armast näitust. Me ei jõua ära oodata millal me läheme oma peredega ja loeme kõike meie armsa Eesti inimestest, kultuurist ja ajaloost!

Many Estonians, Latvians, and some Americans came together on October 27th on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in the Boston to officially open the "Masters of Our Own Homes Estonia at 100" traveling exhibition. This is an exhibit is traveling across America introduces the Estonian people, culture and history to the general public. The exhibition is open to the people of Boston until November 27, 2018. Despite the fact that it was raining, windy and with a cold nip, about 25 people came to see the wonderful exhibition. Unfortunately, the speeches were very short, because the weather was very stormy downtown Boston. Some people do not come to the opening of the exhibition, however, many others came to the informal get togeher which was held at Fin Point Oyster Bar & Grill just down the street. Boston Estonian Society provided abundant appetizers of delicious vegetables, meats and cheeses. We sat at the bar and talked about life, the show and everything else. A few hours later, the rain almost stopped. On the way home, we looked at some pictures of the exhibition, and we did, but we did not get to read everything through writing as it was sill much too windy. The illumination of the exhibit is beautiful and allows for clear reading of the many stories and images. We hope that a lot of Americans come to Boston and watch the beloved show. We can not wait when we go to their families, and read all about our beloved Estonian people, culture and history in better weather
