Alustame aastat oos, tuues kokku Balti kogukonna, filmi, muusika ja hea toidu heategevusliku õhtuga.
Heategevuslik filmiõhtu filmifestivali toetuseks!
Reedel, 17. jaanuaril kell 16.00, linastub armastatud ja humoorikas Läti filmiklassika „Limusiin jaanipäeva värvides.“ See ei ole lihtsalt filmiseanss, vaid ühine Balti kogemus, kus saavad kokku Eesti, Läti ja Leedu kogukonnad ning nende sõbrad.
„Limusiin jaanipäeva värvides“ Vanaproua Mirta on loteriiga võitnud mida iga nõukogude kodanik igatseb – Žiguli auto! Äkitselt on tema väike aja täis sugulasi, kes olid ta seni täiesti unustanud, kuid ilmuvad nüüd ootamatult kohale, et ta oma auto neile jätaks (läti keeles ingliskeelsete subtiitritega).
PEOÕHTU KAVA:
Balti suupisted ja joogid Eestist, Lätist ja Leedust
Elav džässmuusika Balti muusikutelt ja sõpradelt:
Ilona Kudiņa (Läti, flööt); Mike Peipman (Eesti, trompet); Jose Allende (Peruu, kitarr); Manuel Kaufman (Šveits, bass); Lex Raudpuu-Geary (Eesti, solo)
Filmi linastumine: „Limusiin jaanipäeva värvides“ (1981)
Pärast filmi jätkub õhtu Balti rütmidega DJ Pierre’i valikul.
Õhtu jooksul toimub ka loosimine, kus auhindadeks on festivalipiletid, restoranikinkekaardid, raamatud, Balti hõrgutised ja palju muud.
See tuluõhtu toetab Bostoni Balti Filmifestivali tegevust ja aitab meil jätkata Balti filmikultuuri tutvustamist Ameerika Ühendriikides.

On January 17 at 4:00 PM, the Boston Baltic Film Festival invites you to a fundraiser screening of the beloved Latvian comedy film "A Limousine the Colour of Midsummer's Night." This isn’t just a movie screening—it’s a shared Baltic experience where the Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian communities and their friends come together.
„Limousine the Color of Midsummer’s Eve“ Mirta, a little old lady living in the country, has won in the lottery what every soviet citizen longs for – a Soviet Zhiguli car. Suddenly, her little house is full of relatives who, up to then, had completely forgotten about her, but now show up unexpectedly so that she will leave her car to them. (Film in Latvian with English subtitles)
To chase away the winter doldrums, the Baltic communities of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania invite everyone to a festive fundraising evening in support of the Boston Baltic Film Festival (BBFF) on January 17, 2026, at the at the Latvian Center in Brookline, 58 Irving St., Brookline, MA in Brookline. (Suggested donation starting at $35)
Guests will enjoy a screening of a classic comedy film, sample authentic ethnic refreshments, and experience Baltic music and camaraderie in a warm, welcoming setting. The event’s proceeds will help sustain the Boston Baltic Film Festival—a celebration of Baltic cinema and culture in New England.
