Kahjuks momendil toimunuga peame kurvastusega teatama, et suur osa meie plaanitud tegevustest, üritustest ja pidustustest on tühistatud või muudetud virtuaalseteks kohtumisteks. BES-i kirikuteenistused, eesti koolipäevad (aga nüüd katsume virtuaalselt kaudu mõned koolitunnid teha) ja Pagulastepäeva üritus on esialgselt tühistatud kuni mai kuuni. Pagulastepäev ja Juhatuse Aastakoosolek mis oli plaanitud 3. mai otsustati edasi lükata 17. mai'le. BES'i Aastakoosolek korraldatakse videokonverentsina kasutades "Zoom Video". Kahjuks ei ole meil teist võimalus et koosolekut korraldada sellel raskel ajal. Loodame, et see ei takista inimesi osalemast, vaid vastupidi, julgustab ja võimaldab paljudel inimestel meiega ühineda! Täpsema info aastakoosoleku kohta saadame välja järgmises ringkirjas mai alguses koos videokonverentsi päevakorra juhiste ja dokumentidega. Seniks aga soovime kõigile turvalist olemist ja olge terved!

BES Activities cancelled through June 2020, with exception of the Annual Meeting
BES Activities cancelled through June 2020, with exception of the Annual Meeting
We are in an unprecedented time in which so much of our scheduled activities, events and celebrations have been cancelled, postponed or changed to virtual meetings. This is no different with BES's recent cancellation of Estonian church service, cancellation of Estonian school (we will conduct some lessons virtually) until May and the postponement of Pagulastepäev (Refugee Day) which was scheduled for May 3rd. The Board of Directors has decided to reschedule the Society's Annual Meeting for May 17th, however, it will be conducted via video conferencing with Zoom Video Communications. We hope that we can have something move forward, even if done a bit differently in these difficult times. We hope that this will not hinder people from participating, but quite the opposite, encourage and enable more people to join us! We will be sending out the full agenda, associated documents and instructions for the video conferencing on or around May 1st.
Until we can meet again, in person or in video, be healthy, be safe and be patient.
